final presentation for the general assembly 10-week product management course
After Best Made Co went out of business I decided to utilize my time to expand my knowledge base to digital product management by taking the 10 week Product Management Course at General Assembly. Below is my final presentation for the course.
For this project I focused on how technology could respond to the challenges of remote learning due to the Covid-19 pandemic. After interviewing friends and family members who are teachers and gathering insights on their experiences teaching remotely, I developed this feature proposal for YouTube.
YouTube for EDU focuses on a-synchronous teaching and how the existing YouTube platform could be leveraged for a better video sharing experience for teachers and students. Through my market analysis I lay out how this opportunity would allow Google to fully own the remote learning space. Their existing Google Classroom user base lays the ideal foundation to expand their offerings to teachers with the existing tools and content that YouTube already has. With some additional features YouTube for EDU has the potential to open up new revenue streams and continue to expand Google’s user base to millions of additional teachers and students.
